Matthew McConaughey is leaving behind the tepid romantic comedy for a hard-hitting mystery in the upcoming The Lincoln Lawyer.
Based on the Michael Connelly book of the same name, McConaughey plays a lawyer who works out of the back of his Lincoln. Normally associating himself with drug dealers and lowlifes, his character takes on a high profile case of murder, betrayal and mystery.
The film co-stars Ryan Phillipe and Marissa Tomei was directed by Brad Furman. The film is slated to hit cinemas March 18, 2011. This may be the first film in years where McConaughey keeps his shirt on.
