Channeling his inner Passenger 57, Liam Neeson stars in this upcoming action/thriller pic set for release February 2014. Titled Non-Stop (oof), the film tells the story of an air marshall (Neeson) who mysteriously receives a text message saying passengers will start to die every 20 minutes if money isn’t wired into a mysterious account.

Remember those great 90s action flicks that featured the entire film in one moving location? Passenger 57, Under Siege (1 and 2!) and Charlie Sheen’s immortal entry The Chase (seriously, watch this trailer, they don’t make ’em like they used to)… well Non-Stop is Liam Neeson going all 90s…

…unless, there’s a twist! Which seems to have been given away by the film’s trailer. So perhaps there’s a little more to Non-Stop than we expect.

Trailer watch: Voyage of the Dawn Treader

A brand new trailer for the upcoming 3D installment of the latest Chronicles of Narnia flick Voyage of the Dawn Treader has made its debut.

The third film features a returning cast of Liam Neeson, Simon Pegg, Georgie Henley and Tilda Swinton and is due in cinemas December 10th.

The film is about the continuing journey of Edmund and Lucy Pevensie to mysterious islands, a river that turns to gold, confrontations with magical creatures and sinister enemies as they fight to save the fate of Narnia. There is also a talking mouse.

We couldn’t quite get through the second film but did see the first. It wasn’t all too bad, and the trailer for Voyage of the Dawn Treader makes it look like a bit of enjoyable entertainment, but this series just does not hold the same allure and interest as the Lord of the Rings and/or the Harry Potter series.

Liam Neeson takes Mel Gibson’s cameo in The Hangover 2

It appears that Liam Neeson has taken over the role thought to have been Mel Gibson’s in The Hangover 2.

Rumors had swilled that Gibson was to be cast in a cameo role as a tattoo artist in the film, however, after tension on the set proved to be the breaking point, director Todd Phillips confirmed that Gibson’s cameo had indeed been cancelled (in no small part, due to the protest of cast member Zach Galifianakis).

Variety is now reporting that Neeson has indeed taken the cameo from Gibson, with the actor confirming;

I just got a call to do a one day shoot on ‘Hangover 2’ as a tattooist in Thailand, and that’s all I know about it.

The move to ax Gibson’s cameo prompted some to call hypocrisy, seeing no problem to the casting of troubled actor/boxer Mike Tyson in the original. Mel Gibson is said to be furious about the part going to Neeson. Our own staff writer Brad Abraham commented recently by stating;

“I find the double standard an absolute joke. Mike Tyson is a convicted rapist but no one had a problem with his cameo in the first film. I guess if it happened 15 years ago then it doesn’t matter anymore. In that case Gibson should wait till they make The Hangover 4.”

The Hangover 2 is set for release May 26. Neeson will be seen next in the thriller Unknown.
