Minneapolis pop-rockers Motion City Soundtrack have debuted the video for the track “It Had To Be You.” The track is culled from the band’s most recent release, Even If It Kills Me. You can check out the video streaming over at Punknews.
Earlier in the week, I wondered why there were so many old, bedraggled, overweight, balding-on-the-top-but-still-plenty-in-the-back, type around this fair city of Melbourne. Was there a 25 year Hells Angels reunion? Nope, these bucktooth geriatric metalheads were out in force because fossilizing metal band Iron Maiden were in town (they flew their own jet apparently) for a slew of headline shows. Not sure when the last time they were in town, but my guess is that 90% of the people who went to see them probably hadn’t taken a bath since … but nonetheless, here is some footage from the band’s trek down under.
Tis the year of the festival eclectic … Jay-Z headlines Glastonbury, Roger Waters tops Coachella, and now Metallica receives top billing for this year’s Bonnaroo festival. Along with the aging rockers, Pearl Jam (also aging rockers), Jack Johnson, and Kanye West have been signed up as the gatherings main draw cards.
Bonnaroo will take place June 12-15th in Manchester, Tennessee.

NME is confirming that hip hop star Jay-Z will be headlining this year’s installment of the famed Glastonbury Festival. The historic English show is slated to take place over the weekend of the 27-29th of June with Jay-Z being the first confirmed headliner. Last year’s installment, returning after taking a year off, was headlined by The Arctic Monkeys, Bjork, The Killers, and Iggy & The Stooges.
